Cookie Policy
Effective from 15 September 2026
1. The short version
We keep this deliberately simple: ClearWorks does not use advertising or analytics cookies, and we don't use any third-party tracking. The only things stored in your browser are the two described below, both needed for the Platform to work.
2. What we use
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| sidebar_state | Cookie, first-party | Remembers whether the portal's side navigation is open or collapsed. | 7 days |
| Supabase auth session | Browser storage, first-party | Keeps you signed in between visits, so you don't have to log in again on every page. | Until you sign out, or clear your browser's data |
Both of these are "strictly necessary": the Platform's core features (staying signed in, and a usable navigation layout) don't work properly without them. Under UK cookie law (PECR), strictly necessary cookies don't require a consent banner, which is why you won't see one here today.
3. What we don't use
No advertising cookies, no analytics or tracking cookies (like Google Analytics), and no third-party embeds that set their own cookies. If that ever changes (for example if we add analytics to understand how the Platform is used), we'll update this policy and ask for your consent first, where the law requires it.
4. Controlling cookies yourself
Most browsers let you see, delete or block cookies through their settings. Blocking the two above will likely mean you're signed out more often and the sidebar forgets its state, but the Platform will still work.
5. Changes to this policy
We'll update this page if what we store in your browser changes. Contact us at privacy@clear-works.co.uk with any questions.
